Black Queer people take root among the stars. Galactic forces act upon this installment of Queermunity, as three artistic powers align for a night of performances. Curated by R Flex, Dark Matter imagines all the places we might be, the ways we might play, and the powers we may wield in our journey.
The meteoric Myst Milano headlines the event with their fluidic artistry. This iconic place- and space-maker shines a light on the personal and the political through their multidimensional soundworld. J3M touches down having released their first album, Afronaut, over the summer. Much like R Flex’s own hybrid style, J3M plots a course through ancestral stars and brings a radiant swirl of R&B, soul, pop, and disco flare. No less radiant are the other-worldly topographies of Paris’ cosmic pop that crackle and careen through dream-like and more brash musical terrain.
Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door
Masking required, have your mask ready when entering the venue. You can remove your mask while drinking or eating.
