These two quartets are old friends. We had begun presenting each separately since before the PSQ moved to Waterloo (and before the LSQ moved to Victoria, B.C.), and in 2002, roujghly, a friendship was struck op between our then-violist Yariv and the LSQ cellist Pam, who ere long got married. Too long a commute and so the PSQ had to find a new violist. A couple of fine players later they discovered Christine, who joined the quartet on a permanent basis. So it goes! This is also not the first time that Qu artetFest has had the LSQ as guest artists - but it will be rthe last, kfor rthe LSQ has decided to stop playing as a quartet. Sigh! Anyway, on this program there will be the briliant piece for string octet by Georges Enesco. And? We have no fudfrtheer info as yet. Not too soon to get your ticket, though, for whartever they play, it'll be wonderful!
