Sam, a young biracial woman, has just come home to Kitchener after finishing her undergrad in Victoria, BC. When she learns that her mother has planned the surprise birthday party of her nightmares featuring all her White friends and her only Black friend, Sam must decide: will she do everything in her power to prevent her two worlds from colliding, or will she face her loved ones and hope for the best?

A FEW REMINDERS

• In the event of inclement weather, look out for an email in advance regarding a rain plan for performances at outdoor venues.
• For shows at outdoor venues, bring: Weather-appropriate clothing (i.e., raincoats) and/or blankets (no umbrellas please).
• Bathrooms: Bathrooms will be nearby and accessible, but not within, any of the outdoor venues – so plan your trip accordingly.
• Accessibility: If you need to be seated in a specific place due to accessibility needs, please let MT Space staff know as soon as possible at tickets@mtspace.ca and plan to arrive 30-40min before the performance to be seated.
• Late Arrivals: Please plan on arriving with time to spare before a show starts; late arrivals will not be permitted after 15 minutes into the performance.
• Festival Bar: You can attend the Festival Bar (TWH Social) after performances – open 9pm until late most nights! (see the Festival programme for details)
