John Batt was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Since 2017, his instagram account '@canada.gov.ca' - with a focus on the funny and strange side of Canadian history - has amassed over 63,000 followers. Fans of the account include Anne Murray, Jay Ferguson of Sloan, Greg Keelor of Blue Rodeo amongst many others. Now splitting his time between Montreal and his cottage in St. Adolphe d'Howard, Quebec, the Admin is very excited to be bringing the account to the big smoke for the very first time.
