David Bradstreet is best known for his song ”Renaissance” - an iconic Canadian hit made popular by Valdy. He has been recognized for his work as a singer/songwriter, composer and producer, many albums bearing his name; Platinum and Gold selling records; a high profile Juno Award early in his career; three subsequent Juno nominations and music credits including a Gemini nomination; film and TV soundtracks and scoring; talent discovery and producer for numerous artists including Jane Siberry, Bill Hughes, Colleen Peterson, Nancy Simmonds, Jason Fowler, Robert Priest, Mira Meikle and more. David's London, Ontario, roots run deep as he was regularly featured at Smale's Pace Coffeehouse, Change of Pace, and the Home County Folk Festival over the years.
For this concert, David will be joined by his longtime friend Carl Keesee (bass). Together David and Carl along with the late Bill Hughes recorded several albums together as the group Lazarus for the prestigious American label Bearsville.
David has toured extensively for over five decades and is a veteran of major tours, coffeehouses, concert halls, house concerts and folk festivals - and has written and performed hundreds of songs. His latest album "Hindsight" (2023) features Carl Keesee, bass; Mark Kelso, drums & percussion; and Nancy Simmonds, background vocals.
"..today’s David Bradstreet is a master of his skills – the voice, deeper and more richly seasoned in all the right places – and as range-friendly as ever; his fingerstyle guitar-playing abilities simply jaw-dropping in their complexity and overall tone – both parts together creating an hypnotic aural weave of intricate, satisfying parts." - Eric Thom, ROOTS MUSIC CANADA
