The world is in upheaval The Trump administration is sweeping away 80 years of world order and threatening the sovereignty of Canada itself. Its time to gather for a briefing on the current state of events so come join us for the What World Briefing. Your briefing team will be Ken McGoogan, Guelph historian and author and Kel Currah, founder of What World and What World Strategies, a global policy consultancy based in Guelph. Ken will share his analysis of the current situation based on historic events, as detailed in his new book, Shadow of Tryanny. Kel Currah will outline the changing world and how it will impact Canada including a likely volcanic G7 Summit in June which Canada is hosting.
The Briefing will be entertaining and interactive. Participants will be handed a written brief on arrival at the venue and be encouraged to ask questions and discuss possible scenarios on geopolitics.

Kenneth McGoogan
Kenneth McGoogan is a Guelph-based author of over 15 books including Flight of the Highlanders, Dead Reckoning, 50 Canadians Who Changed the World, Fatal Passage and Race to the Polar Sea.
For much of his life, Ken has been a journalist writing for the Toronto Star, The Montreal Star and The Calagary Herald. In addition to his writing, Ken teaches at the University of Toronto teaches in the MFA program in Creative Nonfiction at the University of King’s College/Dalhousie University.
In his latest book, Shadows of Tryanny, Ken McGoogan examines the historical parallels of the 1930s in Germany alongside the current political changes happening in the US. The book is a challenging and illuminating look at the perilious political world we are now facing.
